This policy explains how Party Box ("we", "us") handles personal information when you visit party-box-usa.com, place an order, create an account, join our email list, or contact us.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Orders: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, the items you order and any notes you add.
- Accounts and rewards: your login email and password (stored securely), order history, and rewards or referral activity.
- Email and text sign-ups: your email address and, if you choose, your mobile number.
- Messages: anything you send through our contact form, plus your name and email so we can reply.
- Vendors and partners: business and profile details you provide when applying through our vendor pages.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we use our own first-party analytics to understand how the store is used. This records pages viewed, time on page, the referring site or campaign, device and browser type, and an approximate location (city and region) derived from your IP address using an IP-location service. We keep a random visitor ID in your browser's local storage and a cookie, and we use your browser's storage to remember your cart and any coupon code. We don't use third-party advertising cookies.
How we use information
- To process, ship and support your orders, and to send order confirmations and updates.
- To run your account, rewards and referrals.
- To answer your messages.
- To send marketing emails or texts if you signed up for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve the website, prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Sharing
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store, such as our payment processor (Stripe), email delivery provider, shipping carriers, web host and IP-location service, and only as needed for them to do that work. For white-glove installs or marketplace bookings, we share only the details the installer needs to do the job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and customers.
Retention
We keep order records as long as needed for tax, accounting and warranty purposes. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics records are kept for as long as they're useful for understanding store trends.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email, or reply STOP to texts.
- Access, correct or delete your information by contacting us. We'll verify your request before acting on it.
- Browser controls: you can clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
California residents
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell or share it); and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. You can make a request through our contact page. You may also use an authorised agent.
Children
Our store is for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords and restricted access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes we'll give notice on the website.
